Rhonda Buckley-Bishop, saxophone

 
 

Rhonda Buckley-Bishop earned both a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Music from Michigan State University. She also received a Master of General Administration degree with an emphasis in nonprofit management from the University of Maryland, University College. Rhonda was a Fellow in the Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders at Stanford’s Graduate School of Management. She is a member of the Leadership Greater Washington, Class of 2006. Rhonda also contributes as a volunteer to several Washington DC region nonprofit organizations.

Rhonda is founder and CEO of Illumine Executive Network. Prior to this she was Associate Dean for Outreach and Engagement at the Michigan State University College of Music and Executive Director of the University’s Community Music Schools in East Lansing and Detroit, MI. Prior to her appointment at MSU, Rhonda was Founder and longtime Executive Director of the Sitar Arts Center, a community arts center that serves at-risk youth and families in Washington DC, where she received numerous awards as a nonprofit leader.

Rhonda has served as the Interim CEO for Community Services of Mid-Florida, a nonprofit law firm with 10 locations throughout mid-Florida. She has served as the Interim Head of Music Education at Levine Music, a community music school with five campuses in the Washington DC region.
